There are a few ways 5G will change the business world, one being the efficiency it will have. With businesses using more cloud-based programs, 5G will be able to provide high processing speed and big data capacity simultaneously. According to Digital Trends, “the high speeds of early 5G systems are allowing companies like Box to conduct remote AR/VR events that allow participants at distant locations to work together in real-time.”

  1. Another way 5G will change the business world is with the growth of IoT devices. Many companies are striving to make their product “smart” including televisions, speakers, fridges, etc. For example, according to Digital Trends, “LG announced its advanced ThinQ speaker at CES 2018.
  2. The new smart device includes far-field voice recognition, which means that it should be able to respond to voice commands from across the room. It also features an OLED display panel.” With 5G’s fast speeds and large data capacity, this would allow for products like these to connect seamlessly to other devices around them without mass interruption.
  3. Another way 5G will change the business world is with autonomous vehicles. As of 2018, Tech Crunch reports that “There are approximately 4 million professional drivers in the U.S., and nearly 70 percent of them drive trucks or tractor-trailers.” If 5G is implemented, then their jobs might be in jeopardy.
  4. With 5G speeds, you will be able to do real-time data transfer between your autonomous vehicle and another without interruptions when on the road. This would allow for companies like UPS, FedEx, and more to change their drivers to automated vehicles instead of trucks with humans in them.
  5. Finally, 5G will change the business world with a variety of other changes that have yet to be seen. With 5G networks being set up around the world, it will bring a revolution to business and lead to a variety of changes in data processing, IoT devices, and more.

5G will change the world in multiple ways:

1) 5G can enable faster speeds than ever before, which is necessary for supporting emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and more.

2) It can support a larger number of mobile devices at once, meaning the network will be able to handle millions of new smartphones on top of increased demands from IoT devices in homes, cars, workplaces, and beyond.

3) 5G is also expected to offer very low latency something that’s important for handling time-sensitive things like self-driving cars, AR/VR experiences, and cloud gaming.

4) 5G requires a much denser network of small cells essentially mini cell towers located throughout cities. This is because the short wavelengths in 5G require antennas to be placed closer together than ever before for better quality connections that can handle more people on the network at once.

5) 5G is expected to be faster than 4G LTE, which means that companies can increase their computing speeds and responsiveness of cloud-based software. This will improve international data connections, which will lead to new opportunities for businesses around the world.

6) Because there are more machines involved, 5G will require a lot more network capacity. Carriers will need to make sure their 5G networks can handle the number of connections these IoT devices will have to cell towers, and they’ll have to build out a denser network of small cells in order to increase coverage.

For example, a self-driving car might pull data from its environment using sensors that are connected to the network by way of a cellular connection. This is why carriers are expected to spend billions on 5G networks in order to accommodate for IoT devices and self-driving cars, with AT&T alone expecting to spend $25 billion on the technology.
